lyrics
a coldness fills my dreams so i must stay wide awake
i can almost see her face as the night fades into day
i am a captive of this night and its calm serenity
in the darkness is my faith
a pitch black that i can see
on this night i'll lose my fears and be one with the lights above
i have been there all my life in the darkness of your love
first was temptation
those sins i cannot live without
i can almost see her face
all my life it's what i've dreamt about
i have sight though i am blind
this affliction is my friend and the darkness beckons me
this love that will never end
now my eyes are open wide
the ancient wisdom has passed through me
i know now who i am through the tongues of ancient speech
then came salvation
all that i've ever asked for
to think that i could hesitate
all it asked for was my soul
but i know now who i am
may this blackness have no end
through the light it beckons me
this love that will never end
ponder deeply the lights beyond and know the secrets they keep
hear the truth of the serpent's tongue
within silence it speaks
now i know

This album is an absolute banger. The riffs are especially groovy this time, the vocals are amazing, and the overall thing is supercatchy. If I'd have to list one downside, it's that the mix is so bass-heavy that the sound only truely comes into it's right when listened on good headphones or extremely good speakers. On anything less it can sound like the bass drowns the rest of the music out. 9/10 Buzzario
A ferocious display of blackened stoner-doom from Moscow's Moanhand, who offsets moments of bleak ugliness with clean, haunting melody. Bandcamp New & Notable Jun 23, 2021
